Common Questions

Where is my data stored?

All your tasks, sessions, and history are stored locally on your device only. Nothing is sent to any server.

How do breaks work?

Every 25 minutes of active session time, you'll see a 5-minute break prompt. You can skip it and keep going if you prefer.

What is the backlog?

A persistent list of tasks you've saved for later. Pull them back into any new session from the setup screen.

Why does the screen stay on?

Finish List keeps the screen awake during active sessions so you can glance at your task without unlocking your phone. It turns off automatically when the session ends.

Can I recover deleted data?

No — data is stored only on your device and cannot be recovered once deleted.

How do I break a task into steps?

During a session, tap the breakdown option on the current task card to split it into up to five smaller subtasks.

Privacy-first design

All your tasks, sessions, and history are stored locally on your device. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts required.

The only exception is the optional "Extract from notes" Pro feature — when you use it, the text you paste is sent to an AI model to generate your task list, then discarded immediately. Nothing is stored.
